Cassandra Monique Batie known professionally as Andra Day is an American R&B and soul vocalist writer and actress. The accolades she has received include an Grammy Award as well as an Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She is also nominated for the Academy Award. Andra is not just an old-fashioned R&B artist, her blues and gospel roots perform in a manner that's effortless and sophisticated. She debuted in the film Halloween as Allyson After appearing on numerous television shows like Orange Is the New Black (Orange is the new black) Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue), Blue Bloods as well as Orange is the new black.
